However I just wanted to let you know that tr*nny is still a rather vicious slur. It's used to refer to trans women in particular, who are victims of violence at astoundingly high rates (especially women of color) even compared to other gender nonconforming people. It's widely accepted that it's the right of trans women only to "reclaim" this word, and trans guys and other LGBT people should stay away from it. I've heard many cisgender LGB people use it casually, I hope in ignorance of how it comes across as dehumanizing and vaguely threatening. But if you're looking for scriptures of particular relevance to trans people, check out the various mentions of eunuchs - often also applicable to gay/lesbian/bisexual folks too. =)Alexhttp://alexthefab.tumblr.comnoreply@blogger.com
